I’m a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and my goal is to encourage, guide, and support clients to live their healthiest lives. Everyone is on a healing journey in some way and it’s always nice to have someone alongside you on the journey. I would love to be that person for you. I will be an ally that walks with you and keeps you on the right path. My hope is that our journey together will lead you to a healthier, happier, more balanced life.
I was an overweight child as far back as I can remember. I can remember going to my first Weight Watcher’s meeting in the 4th grade!
My family also struggled with weight issues and we ate a lot of processed foods. Looking back now, I can see how that contributed to my weight issues, but we didn’t know any better
Whenever I would see a doctor, they would invariably write “obese” on my charts, which is a hard thing for a young girl. I battled my highest weight all through middle school. In high school, I tried to control my weight by drinking Diet Pepsi, eating microwaved “diet” meals, and counting calories, but it really didn’t help me. In fact, it made things worse by increasing my blood sugar and creating havoc with my digestive and immune systems – but I didn’t learn that until many years later.
In my early 20s, I was diagnosed with Grave’s Disease, an autoimmune condition affecting the thyroid. Again, because we didn’t know better, we followed the treatment prescribed by the doctor, which included radiation and total removal of my thyroid.
Unfortunately, this led me down a really long road of not-so-good-for-me diets and detoxes. I literally have bookshelves overflowing with books on all kinds of diets and programs.
I finally learned the healing power of real food and of seeking balance in all areas of my life. My Nutritional Therapist training helped me to understand that weight is a symptom of imbalances in our life and now I try to understand what is out of balance rather than the next quick fix “diet.”
Today, I can thankfully say that I am happy, healthy, and maintain a healthy weight.

I have a fabulous husband named Charlie. We met in 2000 and moved to Eagle Creek, Oregon in 2002. Since that time, we have been working on our home and horse facility. We share a common love for horses, dogs, good food, and healthy country living.
One of our favorite things to do is trail riding. Each year we spend a week horse camping with our best friends in the mountains of Central Oregon. We have been everywhere from the Three Sisters Wilderness Area to Black Canyon Wilderness and all over the Ochocos.
We also enjoy growing our own garden, playing with our dog “Joey” and soaking up the sun when it actually comes out in the Pacific Northwest.
Charlie and I are committed to living healthy together! We stay very conscious of what we’re putting into our bodies and the kind of life we lead.
